A great combination of flowers & letters.  They are the most sentimental and thoughtful things, the most simplest of things to create such powerful statements.  I’m so old school and I love it.  These flowers were given to my roommate Morgan from her boyfriend who’s here to visit.

On December 11, 2009,  my grandfather Emilio Cabrillas passed away early that gloomy morning day.  Unfortunately, I was still in Santa Barbara and couldn’t be there to see him and console my family.  It was the loneliest, most hopeless feeling being far away from my family during this time.  He is happily rested in a better place now.  A man who definitely lived out his life with many children and grandchildren to continue on in his legacies.  I am definitely glad to have taken a photo op of my grandparents this year because I knew that from their age, their time was coming and they needed a photograph of them for everyone to remember they lived.  I love you lolo,  I’ll continue to visit you like I always did when I came home to Delano.  You’ll be greatly loved & missed.
