Trip to the Getty
My good friend & photographer Asha Catling & I went to the Getty Museum in Los Angeles yesterday for our very first time. Greatest experience & inspiration in awhile. We were so lucky enough to be there for the Irving Penn exhibition of his Small Trades collection. AH! I was mesmerized! They showcased his 1951 gelatin silver prints & the remake of his 1960s platinum prints in four separate rooms. I totally bought his coffee table book from the collection. The Getty is a beautiful place. The garden and the modern, minimalism styled architecture were my favorite parts of the museum because it made me feel like I was in another world apart from what I usually see.
I am thankful.

You should make a rap music video about photography! ha-ha Joey Lawrence is an amazing photographer with a good sense of humor I guess. Joey & his friends collaborated to make their own music group called “The Photo Club.”
